On April 10, 2016, Peace Islands Insitute and Hackensack United Methodist Church organized a Friendship Gathering to bring together the members of the congregation and their neighbors from different backgrounds and cultures. PII volunteers attended the Sunday Service that began around 10am, followed by fellowship hour where they got to meet and socialize.
We also gave a farewell for Sinch, a member of the Hackensack United Methodist Church for ten years with guitar and spiritual songs.
PII Center for Interfaith Affairs organizes many events including Abraham’s Table Discussions and Luncheons on topics entailing interfaith dialogue matters.
Friendship Gatherings are organized with the help of our dedicated volunteers who visit the house of worships in their neighborhood to make bridges.
