On January 25, 2016, PII Center for Interfaith Affairs organized Abraham’s Interfaith Lunch jointly with Rev. Jeff Markay from Chatham United Methodist Church on the topic of “Peace Makers in the 21st Century”.
The speakers representing each faith shared the lives of peacemakers of their tradition. Rabbi Dem Smith from Temple Or Ha Lev, Reverend Mary Davis from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Dr. Nuray Yurt from Peace Islands Institute all emphasized the importance of existing in peace individually and collectively.
The event concluded with remarks from Dr. Ali Chaudry, Founder and President of the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge.
