U.S Politics & Elections in the United States - October 3, 2012

Center for Global affairs hosted Former Congressman Peter Torkildsen as a part of the Beacon Hill Talk series on Wednesday, October 3rd. Congressman Torkildsen talked about the U.S politics and elections in the United States, history of the politics and presidential debates and electoral process. He also outlined the history of the shift from republic to democracy and the history of presidential debates starting from the Lincoln- Douglas debates and the current presidential debates. Finally ramification of elections such as possible divided government were also discussed. His talk was followed by a Q& A session.
