Luncheon Talk by Marc Kenen
Center for Education at Peace Islands Institute Massachusetts branch hosted Dr. Marc Kenen, Founder and Executive Director of Massachusetts Charter Public School Association. Dr. Kenen began his talk by introducing the history of charter school movement to audience. 
PII visited Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray, February 6, 2013 Wednesday
Peace Islands Institute Massachusetts (PII-MA) paid a goodwill visit to Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray in his office. Birol Ozturk Executive Director of PII-MA and Burhan Kaya, Director of Center for Global Affairs briefed the Lt. Governor Murray about the past and future events as well as the mission of Peace Islands Institute. Dr. Ozturk gave information about PII’s ongoing efforts on peace building activities among diverse communities in Massachusetts and in the Northeast US. Ending the meeting, both parties discussed local and global issues pertaining to the mission of PII.
